Toy Donations for Earthquake Appeal

Toy Donations for children affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

A collection of preloved soft toys and small games/toys has started up in the village. These will be transported to Southern Tukey for children that have lost their homes in the earthquakes.

If you have any toys that you would like to donate they can be taken to the library by Saturday March 4th.

To make it more personal you may like to add a label on the item saying who has donated it. There are labels available in the library.

The school is also taking part and all the toys will be handed over to Mehmet Kaya in the school assembly on Monday March 6th. Mehmet is organising aid collections in Scarborough for onward transportation in lorries to Turkey.

Many Ayton residents will remember Mehmet, Caroline and their family from when they lived in the village and all 3 children went to the school.
