Water Safety Day
A team from Everyone Active Scarborough Sports Village visited the library today as part of a family water safety event.
A group of 20 children, aged 2 – 10, together with their parents and grandparents, enjoyed the interactive session. The children had lots of fun playing games and learning about the potential dangers of playing near rivers, lakes and the sea.
Families learned the water safety code and even had a go at throwing a lifeguard’s float. As Louise, the lifeguard pointed out, it’s not as easy as it looks!
The rain even held off long enough for a picnic in the library garden.
A big thank you to the team from Everyone Active who delivered a brilliant session today!
