Family Summer Activities 2024

Everyone is welcome to come along to the library during the summer holidays.
You can take part in the Summer Reading Challenge, share a story, do some colouring, play with our toys and games or have a picnic in the library garden. Our obstacle course kit is also available to use in the library garden (weather permitting).
Don’t forget you can sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge from Saturday 13th July. The challenge is free for all 5 – 11 year old. To complete the challenge you will need to read/share 6 library books over the course of the summer holidays. Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a certificate and medal!
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge is all about being creative and we have some exciting sessions planned throughout the summer. Whether it is getting colourful at Elmer Day, making something unique at our Marvellous Makers Day, exploring coding at our Digital Fun session or building a den during Dengineers Week. There is so much to do at the library this summer, so check out our summer schedule for full details.
