It was a full house for the annual quiz organised by Derwent Valley BRIDGE held in The Memorial Hall last Friday where everyone enjoyed a good evenings\u2019 entertainment and an excellent supper.\u00a0 All the teams were named after birds.\u00a0 The winners were the Albatross team, comprising Sue Pennock, Mary Thompson, Pat Wedell and Ruth Marflitt.\u00a0 Second were the Harrier team and third place went to the Condor team.\u00a0 The winners of the Wooden Spoon trophy was the Dove team.\u00a0 A big thank you to Alan and Rob for setting all the questions and running the quiz; to our local sponsors Seamer Fisheries, Donnelles Hair Salon and the Londesborough Arms who provided quiz and raffle prizes and to Trotters Farm Shop who provided the meat for the supper at a substantial discount.\u00a0 \u00a3220 was raised to help fund library activities.<\/span><\/p>\n
