Do you have a morning or afternoon you could spare every week or fortnight? Would you like to meet new people and make new friends as well as help run one of the village’s most treasured possessions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A number of our long standing volunteers have had to reduce their hours or retire completely because of family and other commitments so we are looking to recruit people who would be interested in working in the library on a regular basis.\u00a0 Have you just retired, are you wanting to give something back to your community? Would you like to gain new skills and meet new people?\u00a0 Our current volunteers come from all walks of life and span an age range from 16 to senior citizens.\u00a0 We provide induction and other training, a chance to contribute to a valuable and well regarded community resource, opportunities to meet people and get involved with social activities.\u00a0 We do not have any paid staff, we are run entirely by volunteers, without whom there would be no library.\u00a0 As well as working in the library we \u00a0have vacancies for help with our children\u2019s activities and to help keep the library spick and span.\u00a0 If you are interested please call in to see us at 3 Pickering Road, West Ayton to have a chat with one of our volunteers during opening hours and pick up an application form or email us at\u00a0dewentvalleybridge@gmail.com<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
