Summer Reading Challenge 2026

It is that time of year again, we are getting ready for the start of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge.

This year the theme is ‘Read to the Beat’ and it’s all about exploring the connection between stories, songs and sound!

We know it is going to be a long 7 weeks, so we have organised some fun low cost activities to help your family survive the summer holidays and enjoy reading for pleasure! From rockstar crafts, to the science of sound and music, to a real-life Rap School, we’ve got something for everyone.

Details of our summer events will be posted over the next few days. In the meantime, we still have a few places left for our Summer Reading Challenge launch event on Saturday 4th July.
